Amid the ruins of the noble Doria Castle in Sardinia—once a medieval fortress and later an ancient church—unfolds the story of an extraordinary woman: Eleonora d’Arborea. An independent queen and enlightened ruler, Eleonora was the only sovereign able to unite the diverse and scattered peoples of Sardinia under a single "natzione". The last native ruler of the island, she lived between the late 14th and early 15th centuries. Her regal and deeply personal legacy inspired the Antonio Marras Fall/Winter 2024 collection.
